40 Glorious Years in Education

The seed of Amalorpavam Higher Secondary School, run by a registered Society, “Amalorpavam Educational Welfare Society”, was sown on 26th April 1984 in a small rented building at Ellaiamman Koil Street in Puducherry with a student strength of just 30. From there, it has sprouted and branched out, and today it stands rooted firmly in the town as a beacon, lighting the torch of learning in every child that thirsts for knowledge under its roof.

Experience Our State-of-the-Art Sports Arena

We, at Amalorpavam Higher Secondary School, offer a wide range of structured sports activities to our students to ensure they are physically and mentally fit. Our sports activities help in identifying their hidden talent, at the same time, making them understand the science behind biomechanics, movement sciences (kinesiology), and preventive and rehabilitative sciences.

Experience our Performing Arts

We would like our students to shine not only in academics/sports but also outshine everyone in the field of performing arts as well, and for this purpose, we have opened a Music Club and installed all types of musical instruments. Training is imparted on the Guitar, Veena, Keyboards and drums. In addition, students are trained in Bharathanatyam, Folk Dance and yoga.

Education should be skill-based rather than knowledge-based so that it will be easy for all students to study faster and understand better. In the present scenario, skill-based education is not a choice but the need of the hour, where the demand for skilled professionals is very high and the desire to get skilled is low.

We recognize the necessity of expert guidance for students aspiring to take various competitive examinations. We provide intensive competitive exam training from Classes 6 to 12. Our dedicated efforts aim to make the concepts crystal clear to the students, ensuring exceptional performance in all competitive exams—NEET, IIT, JEE, NTSE, Olympiads, JSTS, NMMS, KVPY, NSO and IMO.
