Our school, with English as the medium of instruction, follows the curriculum guidelines and syllabi laid down by the Tamil Nadu State Board. The school syllabi are built on a rich foundation of reading, writing, and arithmetic. That foundation is then layered with science, history, geography, moral science, and general knowledge, along with sports and fine arts, to ensure the all-around development of our children. We combine the best classroom-tested materials, teacher-created lesson manuals, and proven Smart Class educational methodologies, all in one complete, meticulously planned curriculum.
To make the teaching-learning process more effective, to reinforce study across subject areas, to develop higher-order thinking skills, and to promote content mastery, the school designs its own workbooks for all subjects.
Focus is placed on uplifting slow learners. Special attention is given to train them individually so that they are capable of coping with the syllabi of the succeeding classes. Even extremely slow learners come out with unbelievably high scores in the board exams and are well settled in life now.
Childhood is the time when kids have countless opportunities for play. Research proves that children can improve their motor skills and enhance their power of imagination and creativity by indulging in play.
Our kindergarten curriculum has been designed to be a play-way method where the children are given opportunities to socially interact, use their imagination and intellectual skills, with plenty of play-way exercises to keep the children physically and emotionally healthy.
Computer education has been included as a part of the regular syllabi for all students from Std. III to IX.
Pre - Primary School
Amalorpavam Higher Secondary School follows a structured and elaborate thematic approach to enrich the learning experience of the toddlers. Our unique seven petal approach ensures holistic development of every child. Infants experience, express, and perceive emotions before they fully understand them.
In learning to recognize, label, manage, and communicate their emotions and to perceive and attempt to understand the emotions of others, children build skills that connect them with family, peers, teachers, and the community.
Primary School
At Amalorpavam, we offer an exciting and extensive activities for our primary students. The extra-curricular activities allow children the opportunity to try out new and exciting pursuits, allowing them to find alternative avenues of interest to explore and enjoy.
There are many opportunities for students to have leadership roles at Amalorpavam. Our objective behind varied extracurricular activities is to strengthen our students’ innate creativity and curiosity, eliminate the fear of failure, and give them the skills for creatively solving problems. We provide our students with the appropriate tool to showcase their choices, ideas and seek solutions for themselves. We want to instill confidence and self-sufficiency in our students.
Middle School
The middle school comprises class VII and VIII. The students at this age are playful, fun-loving, distracted, naughty, mischievous, and not focused. So, the Curriculum designed for Middle school motivates them and make them feel responsible to study and prepares the students for the high school public exams.The teaching methodology sharpens the students in understanding the concepts of their subject in depth. Teachers use various visuals such as teaching aids and pictures as the most highly effective teaching strategies. In Middle School, Students have English, Tamil/French, Mathematics, Science and Social Science.
Secondary School

Apart from the core subjects, training is imparted in English Olympiad, Science Olympiad, Maths Talent Olympiad, Maths Reasoning, Mental Ability etc., so that children are well equipped to face the competitive exams and aptitude tests, boldly and successfully. Similarly efforts are taken to develop the spoken English of the students. Newspaper reading is also a part of the Time Table.
Higher Secondary School
The education imparted in the eleventh and twelfth standard paves path for the students to get clarity of vision on their career. We aim to provide necessary guidance alongside relevant literature to improve a child’s scientific awareness. We test our students’ application of concepts in controlled and regulated laboratory conditions and evaluate their overall skill and cognizance via annual examinations, projects and assignments. Our children embark on a lifelong journey of experiential learning that demands discipline, zeal and integrity. We are committed to honing the skills and expanding the abilities that they possess.
