Life As A Secondary Student
Focus is placed on supporting slow learners with individualized attention to ensure they can keep up with the syllabus in subsequent classes. Even students who initially struggle can achieve high scores in Board exams and find success in their careers.
In addition to core subjects, students receive training in English Olympiad, Science Olympiad, Math Talent Olympiad, Math Reasoning, and Mental Ability, equipping them to face competitive exams and aptitude tests confidently. Efforts are also made to enhance students’ spoken English skills, with newspaper reading incorporated into the timetable.

Computer Science
The school features state-of-the-art computer labs that cater to students from primary through senior secondary levels, ensuring they stay abreast of IT-enhanced learning programs. Our spacious and sophisticated Computer Science Laboratories are equipped with high-speed internet connectivity and regularly updated systems and software.
We have three computer labs: two for the lower classes and one main lab for students preparing for public exams. All three labs are high-tech, featuring LED projectors and virtual classroom facilities, and are centrally air-conditioned. Students receive regular lab experiences to stay updated on the latest programming technologies and IT-based educational initiatives.
Sports
At Amalorpavam Higher Secondary School, we offer a wide range of structured sports activities to ensure our students are both physically and mentally fit. Our sports programs help identify hidden talents while also providing insights into the science behind biomechanics, movement sciences (Kinesiology), and preventive and rehabilitative sciences.
Fine Arts
We want our students to excel not only in academics and sports but also in the field of performing arts. To support this, we have established a Music Club and equipped it with a variety of musical instruments. Training is provided in Guitar, Veena, Violin, Flutes, Keyboards, Tabla, Drums, and Mridangam. Additionally, students receive instruction in Bharatanatyam, Folk Dance, and Yoga.
Communicative English Classes
Our English Language Lab is equipped with internationally certified language learning software and audiovisual equipment designed to enhance comprehensive language skills. The lab focuses on the four key language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. We employ a blended methodology that includes games, playway techniques, and repetitive practice exercises to ensure effective learning and skill development.
